I listed my O’Day 37 specs (in Northern California) but I also have a Beneteau Oceanis 390 on the east coast. I will take one to the western Pacific to sell and the other to the Mediterranean to retire with. I have a delivery planned the first week of a September if the Oceanis from NY to the Chesapeake.
I will enjoy visiting the ports and cities along the way. Hopefully there is someone who would enjoy joining the crew for part or all of my passage(s).
As for my background, I finished a career as a Naval Officer and pilot. I have about 2.5 years underway on large vessels, was an XO afloat, a Safety Officer, Training Officer, Watch Officer and also a small boat officer on a 25’ RHIB. The Marine Rescue Consultants/ USCG syllabus with the RHIB was five months in length. My shipboard and aviation firefighting was done by the USN. I hope to complete my Yacht master Ocean later this year once I’ve met the prerequisites.
I’m self sufficient, and I believe I am easy going and calm during emergencies. I welcome friendship, knowledge and camaraderie of others.
As a single parent I became a reasonable cook, and caregiver. I take good care of my vessel. I am glad to assist with building each other’s skills and experiences.
Our exchange student once told me my jokes were terrible but my sense of humor was very funny. I think she was generous.
The option to come and sail locally before deciding is welcomed.

Good company
I really enjoyed this adventure. I helped David get his sailboat through New York City and across the bay to Atlantic Highlands. David is a good communicator and easy to work with.
