I have owned and sailed boats since very young. I have done coastal sailing mainly in France and Ireland. I did one passage from La Rochelle to Ireland with my First 30E.
I have read much and put a lot of the theory to practice.
August 21 2023, I am now close to completing an anticlockwise circumnavigation of Ireland in my Bavaria 36.

Boat descriptionThe yacht has all safety equipment required by France and more, including a new 6 person life raft. Crew will preferably bring along own life jackets and weather gear. The boat is standard spec with 3 cabins, heads and galley. Hot water available in marinas and when engine is running. There is a gas cooker with oven and a fridge. The standing rigging is currently being renewed and a flying stay I’d being fitted for a jib and storm sail. The boat sails well and quickly reaches 6/7 knots. She is fitted with an asymmetrical spinnaker. She has an autopilot, wheel steering, chart plotters, AIS and VHF with DSC both fixed and hand held. There is a 3 person’s dingy with outboard.

Cruising the north-western Ireland, Burtonport-Teelin-Killybegs-Mullaghmore, July 2023
Had an amazing week cruising double handed the north-western coldish, rainy, windy north-western Ireland which I had never visited before! Captain Thomas is an authentic, uncomplicated, intelligent fellow sailor who enjoys sailing and a good cruising life, sharing a few pints, some good meals, experiences and interesting life stories, on a well prepared sailing yacht, ready to make progress in all possible cruising weather conditions. Will definitely repeat in the future.
