Sea Miles 2,500 - 10,000
I've sailed a lot of miles as crew (over 5000, a lot of that was an Atlantic crossing), mostly hitchhiking but also on friends' boats but I must admit I feel like a beginner. That's because I never had my own boat before so am new to making all the decisions. If you are looking for a captain with tons of experience who will always know the right thing to do I'm probably not your guy, I am the guy who might make a less-than elegant entry to the fuel dock because I am still learning ;) BUT I will have a nice positive attitude about it all and I take safety seriously. Small mistakes in a marina is one thing, but I have all gear ready in the event of something more serious.
If Im not on the water I am usually in a tent somewhere camping. Very connected to nature and travel, also love good food (mostly pescatarian) and wine and exploring new cultures.

Boat descriptionShe's an old hog, fat and not the speediest but these boats have a good reputation for being very sturdy. She's in good shape and safe and ready to sail, diesel engine runs good, new sails, new rigging, new thru-hulls, solar panels, and all the safety gear necessary on board including an EPIRB, Delorme and all the other gear required by US Coast Guard. There is one single berth one double (V) berth, and the dining area can also be turned into a cozy bed for two.
