Looking for a Novice Crew, Competent Crew, Racing crew or Mile building position (Annapolis, MD, Mid Atlantic)
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Competent Crew, Racing crew or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
I've got 40 plus years sailing experience on many different types of sailboats from 50' cruising keelboats to sportboats to scows and dinghies. Most of my experience has been near shore and inland racing with some coastal racing sprinkled in. I've sailed and raced in the Great Lakes (Huron and Ontario), Florida West Coast, Puget Sound, Midwest and Chesapeake. I'm familiar with all aspects of a racing sailboat from fordeck to helm. I have captained watches on longer races and have owned my own day racer. Cruising I'm not as familiar with but I'm mechanically minded and pick these types of tasks up quickly.
My kids are off to school and Offshore sailing-racing-cruising-deliveries is the next adventure in my sailing career I've always wanted to try.
I live in the DC/Annapolis area and am willing to travel for the right opportunity.
