Looking for a Milebuilding experience in Europe - Baltic Sea, Scandi, Mediterranean
Hi, I'm Kat, 34y old, originally from Berlin/Germany.
I quit my job as event manager in June 2022 and been traveling since - first bit in my van and around Europe, then Scandinavia in summer 2023 and from Oct. '23 till today South East Asia, mainly Indonesia.
I've got my first miles under my belt, getting some sailing on a Wharram cat from Raja Ampat all the way to Bitung/Sulawesi.. and now I'm hooked and want to continue!
For the rest of 2024 I will only be able to do shorter trips (weekends/1-2 weeks) within Europe, preferably around Scandinavia or Mediterranean.
For weekend trips I'm happy to come up to the Baltic Sea with my van.
I'd be also up for boat sitting.
The ultimate goal is to do a longer cruise (or maybe even crossing, who knows?) in 2025.
Maybe go back to Indo or NZ and then head for Oceania.
Until then I'm also very keen to exchange ideas, meet new people with a totally different lifestyle and background and listen to their views on life and the world we live in. And also gain as much boating experience as possible.
Also HMU if you got an conservation background as I'm aiming to bring my professional life more in this direction.
And last but not least: if you into whales and planning on hanging out with them later this year in Norway, please also HMU! I've been dreaming about swimming with these majestic creatures forever..
I'm into all sorts of (water) sports, surfing/diving/swimming, yoga, books, offline life. etc.
I'm veggie.
I prefer old souly sail boats over shiny modern yachts.
I'm looking for an adventure, good stories, new experiences, milebuilding - no romance!

We had the pleasure of having kat on board for 6 weeks in raja Ampat indonesia,and helped sail our boat to sulawasi,she was great fun learnt fast,held her watches well,and pitched in with what had to be done,come back to us Kat,bugger the rest of them.have fun girl.
