Looking for a Deckhand or Deck/Stew position
Good day. I'm interested in finding a position as a Deckhand or Deck/Stew. I love learning, traveling, having fun while doing so on any yacht MY or SY, from 25m+.
I've recently ended my season as a solo crew on board a 19m MY cruising the Amalfi coast. It was just myself and the Captain/Owner on board, so I did everything from exterior till interior. I have previous sailing experience with 410NM done around Croatia within a week, and with that I just fell in love with sailing. I am confident and experienced in very basic stew work, and also very confident and experienced in deck work like; knots, line handling, anchoring and lifting procedures, passage planning and maneuvering, night watch and anchor watch, washdowns, deck cleaning and preventative maintenance, client briefing, charter with deck and stew service, navigation, docking and mooring, and I am also a confident tender driver with experience on 3-6m tenders from single to dual engines. During my latest position I gained a better understanding of deck products and maintenance skills, and I am always willing and excited to learn and grow even more as a Deckhand and I believe your vessel would help me do just that. I am really passionate about watersports, when it comes to jet skiing or even water tubing, you’ll never have to ask me twice. Ever since I was young you would always find me in the water and it was also very difficult to get me out of it. I love doing water related activities like snorkling, water slides, and even just plain lake fishing. As a child my dad use to take me to go fishing a lot, and as I grew older I started going with friends and my cousin and we would just have a great time.
I also have 100+ hours of volunteer work with our local paramedics, working as a first responder. It is also something that I enjoy doing due to my nature of wanting to take care of people and making sure that everyone is okay.
I'm friendly, kind, passionate, caring, and hard-working, creative (photography & video editing), adventurous, I love animals and children and I'm also really good with them, and I am also very loyal. I don’t get involved in drama and I get along well with others and enjoy meeting new people. I work great in a team but I can also work independently if needed and don’t mind taking the lead on something. I'm looking forward to learning more and to gradually progress myself until I've reached my goal, which for now is getting my Yacht Master and PWC Instructor, and later on adding more courses that would not only benefit me but also the vessel that I would be on. I feel like I'll be a great addition to the crew, I like having fun but most of all, I am always willing to work hard and put the extra effort in and to do my best for the good of the team and clients with passion.
