seek to crew / miles building Late Nov- Feb avail
#1. I hope to find a boat doing passage in late November and December 2024. I can pay my own way to most any global destination and I could even contribute to the passage should that be considered appropriate.
Longer journeys will then be considered as this is my destiny .
Currently, I am in process of divesting of my small business that was more of a lifestyle choice than pleased the bank. I am following the sage advice to get miles/crew on someone else's boat; particularly before I purchase one or... there are plenty of boats out there needing crew, right? I have primarily preferred solo travel in my lifetime however I can be the 'hostess with the mostest' as well - in small doses.
I have been sailing (with others) along the Golfo di Napoli > Cilento most recent years. I have a personal goal to also increase my proficiency in Italian language as well as sailing. My recent RYA instructor noted as my best crew attribute: I was always available to help with anything, at any time - cheerfully.
Other sea related activities: hitched a ride on a Malay fishing boat without any comms or nav devices across 18 Indonesian islands - solo - back in my 20s. was a lifeguard in Hawaii for 2-3 years.
On board I am excited to help with any cooking needs (rustic bread to etouffee to brownie bites), watch keeping, basic sail trimming, company, singing, reading aloud, etc.
*no starlink pls - I seek off-grid as is reasonable for weather and nav*
