Looking for sailing opportunties and adventure!!!
Hello! I plan to retire in early Jan 2025 and am seeking sailing opportunities. Sailing is part of my DNA and an important part of my life. I've sailed for 35+ years on a variety of boats, co-owned 2 monohulls. I enjoy all aspects of sailing -- cruising, sailing locally and afar, racing, deliveries, and am volunteer crew on a historic skipjack in Annapolis, MD. I do not get seasick, am a team player, and will participate/share in every aspect of sailing/cruising as needed -- watches, navigation, provisioning, cooking, boat maintenance, etc.
My goal is to sail and explore other parts of the world once I retire and have more time and flexibility. I truly love to sail and be on/around the water. I find every sail is a unique experience and always a learning experience... I enjoy snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, exploring beaches, and love the sound of the wind and waves. I appreciate exploring new destinations as well as stargazing, and watching the moon and sun rise and set, especially at sea.
I cruised full-time for a year along the East Coast (MA to FL) , with ~6 months in the Bahamas on my boat in 1999/2000 (Sabre 34), and extensively in the Caribbean in Puerto Rico, USVI, BVI, Leeward and Windward islands (Lagoon 450/Lagoon 42), and in Europe from France to Portugal (Lagoon 42), including Bay of Biscay. Have also sailed (chartered) in the Whitsunday Islands in Australia -- awesome and remote.
Have been crew on various offshore deliveries -- Annapolis, MD to St. Thomas (50' catamaran), St. Augustine, FL to Annapolis, MD (49' monohull), Cape Cod, MA to Annapolis, MD (70' schooner), Marsh Harbor, Bahamas to Annapolis, MD (42' catamaran).
