Looking for a Friendship or Deckhand position
Ahoi I’m Kevin :)
I’m on my second journey around the world now - started in Mai 2022. Therefore I quit my job as an Engineer.
Plan was to travel the European Sumer by bicycle and then to go by ship towards Middle and South America.
I wanna do this journey on a sailing ship due to I do love it and wanna get good in it.
Atm I do live with new friends in Andalusia.
Wanted to do my first official ship/sailing licenses back home. But last year I did the paragliding license und this year I just ran out of time and wanted to do it now “on my way”.
Haven’t planned it yet.
Hobbies:
All kinds of sports.
Running, paragliding, swimming, diving (more freediving then scuber. But for example for a shipwreck it’s soo awesome), reading, learning languages, traveling of course, spearfishing (I’m traveling by bicycle, so I didn’t bring my gear),
Driving and Motorbikes in general, …
Kitesurfing I didn’t so far, just surfing.
Anyway I almost always love to be with people.
Here an overview of my Experience on ships.
To be honest I was mostly on Land the past 2,5 years. No time, but that’s back now.
So my Skills are rusted, but I know what it’s about and I’m super eager to learn:
In Adelaide Australia I joined a sailing yacht with about 30ft for some weeks.
In Bremer Bay Australia i used to work on a fishing ship for a about 4 months (net fishing for sardines like fish or deep fish with hydraulic rods).
Spearfishing trips with motor boats for some days/weeks in Flores and Sumatra Indonesia.
A sea Safari from Timor Leste to Indonesia over to Papua New Guinea for about 3,5 months (it was incredible).
Some smaller trips.
I speak German, English and some Spanish (learning…)
