Looking for a Novice Crew or Friendship position
Hi, I'm interested in joining a boat, as a long term crew, with an experienced skipper.
I have a frequent activity, until I was 22 years old, sailing small boats (Laser and 470) and I also sailed with friends in a small sailboat of 23 ft in short trips of 200 NM, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Sailing and being on board were always the best experiences I had, both for the activity itself and for the teamwork. I can say that sailing and horsemanship are the only sports that give me pleasure.
However, I haven't been on board for about 40 years and I'm quite “rusty” in navigation and certainly out of date.
As for sailing, I think it's like riding a bicycle, you never forget.
I have the rank of second lieutenant in the Navy Corps of the Brazilian Navy and, with that, I have the qualification of Captain Amateur.
Overall I am in excellent health, I don't take any medication and I don't have any disease.
With the three companies I had during my life, in Brazil and Portugal, I was too involved and too busy to have other activities.
But in the last four years I have been uninterruptedly active as a volunteer in Sweden, France and Portugal.
I have usually been involved in activities such as furniture restoration, carpentry work, construction with alternative techniques, small hydraulic and electrical installations and even the restoration of a century-old barn built with logs in central Sweden.
In short, I have motivation, interest and time.
