Looking for a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Friendship position
Hello fellow sailors!
Ive just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Friendship. Two years ago I sold my house and all my possessions to pursue a life of sailing and traveling. In 2020 I spent 6 months of recreational crewing from Miami to Exumas and back on a Catana 44. This year I spent 9 months crewing on a Formosa 51 ketch, sailing her from St Maarten to Charleston, SC, completing that journey on 10/1/2021. I am currently doing a landlubber stint for a few months to spent time with family and friends, however I am looking to join a boat that will be cruising in the Caribbean or Bahamas anytime after January 2022.
I am a hardworking and easy going team player who respects the captain, the boat and the sea. I love snorkeling, paddle boarding and just plain swimming! I am competent at the helm, manning the sails, night watches, anchoring and running the dingy. Despite living aboard for many months, I still consider myself a novice as there is always something new to learn and skills to fine tune.
