Looking for a Voluntary work, Novice Crew or Friendship position
Hi Captains, my name is Jhonatan. I'm a Venezuelan and Argentinian citizen, currently living in Buenos Aires (Argentina), where I run my own business: a healthy store.
In 2020/2021, I took sailing lessons at Club Náutico de Ensenada (Ensenada's Nautical Club), where I obtained my first nautical certification as a "Timonel." In 2022, I joined the crew of a FAID 33 boat to participate in regattas from Buenos Aires to Colonia (Uruguay), where I refined my skills, sailing more than 2,000 nm.
I consider myself a traveler, always seeking opportunities to discover new places. Sailing around the world would be a dream come true for me. I enjoy photography, which I consider a wonderful tool for capturing the sailing world.
I'm looking for an opportunity to gain more experience. I'm not expecting to be paid and would be willing to contribute to boat expenses or participate in daily routines such as maintenance, cooking, watchkeeping, and other tasks. If necessary, I can travel to nearby countries in south america or caribean to board a vessel.
Update 2024: I just finished a journey across the Paraná River between Argentina and Paraguay. It was a trip of about 750 nm on a 36' sailing vessel, that took almost a month, with various stops at ports and towns along the way.
