Not your average sailor. Looking for Delivery, Competent Crew, Sailing instructor or Racing Crew position
Hi - I'm interested in finding opportunities for Professional Delivery, Competent Crew, Sailing instructor or Racing Crew. Boat designer, owner, based in Los Angeles. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people as well! I’ve owned blue water craft and sailed in foreign waters from the Caribbean,Spain, Thailand to Baja. I’ve professionally delivered both motor and sailboat between Canadá and Mexico up to 150 miles offshore. I’m a former professional cellist and can fix/rebuild almost every part of a boat. Raced as skipper and sail trim in the N2E four times and logged many winning hours racing in Dana Point and MDR. I have a penchant for single handing and glad to do so. As life long sailor, I fabricated my first sail rig for the family canoe in my mid teens and after jumping waves off the SoCal coast in my Hobie Cat, I studied at the Sailing and Seamanship School in Newport Beach, CA. ASA certifications include 101,103, 104, and 114. Courses studied include coastal nav, deisel repair and operation, seamanship, advanced sailing. I’m also a certified composites tech and have manufactured carbon drones in China. (That stopped a few years ago... ;)
I’ve designed boats and aircraft all over the world and will share a tale or two about my musician days touring with some well known acts. If their is room, the cello or guitar sometimes come along.
If any of this seems like a fit, I would love to be a helpful part of your great adventure!
