Experienced couple looking for crew position in the Caribbean Feb-March 2025

Hello captains:

I am enthusiastic, easy to get on with, reasonably fit with some experience on the water looking to up my skills and knowledge of sailing and marine operations (hands on approach), travel, and breathe the salt air. I expect to do my share aboard (night watch, cleaning, cooking), am a team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour. Please see References.

I love the cruising lifestyle and hope to find a recreational/cruising crew position with an experienced, knowledgeable captain on a safe, well equipped vessel. I prefer the warmer climes, but coming from the Pacific Northwest, I am used to colder, wet weather.

My experience in boating/sailing has been intermittent over the past 20 yrs including "cruise & learns", crewing with friends in the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest. Enlisted crewing trips are in my CV
At home, I’ve been racing the past year on a 32’ Discovery. So far, my sailing adventures have taken me over 6500nm. I've enjoyed the different cultures, the thrill and peace of sailing, and meeting likeminded sailors.

Kris (krisraz) has been my sailing partner going on 5 yrs. He is a natural sailor, motivated, and valuable crew member not to mention a kind, generous and funny guy.

Career background is in interior design/sewing with a short history of sailmaking/rigging/canvas work.
Other interests include art & architecture. In the past ten years I have traveled throughout Europe and Mexico, all of which are a feast for the eyes of an artist and lover of architecture & design.
Food, love food and cooking and am quite content in a rocking galley; have catered and bartended private & business functions. Enjoy a glass of wine, G&T or a cold beer on a hot day. I do not smoke or use drugs. A healthy lifestyle and sense of humour are invaluable for quality of life on and off the water. I enjoy a variety of music (blues, rock, soft jazz, cuban, classical..) but also love the clanging of halyards in the wind!
