We are a husband and wife team usually working as a Captain & Chef/1stMate couple.
We have been running charter/private yachts up to 120' for the last couple of years. We are looking for a husband/wife team position, preferably on 80-120’ private yacht.
Kev is a Yachtmaster Sailing Instructor, 200GT and has completed his MCA OOW towards his 500GT licence. I am an experienced and trained chef (Le Cordon Bleu) for over 20 years, and excel in cuisine creation, menu development, as well as food hygiene and allergens training and management, and just completed my wine Sommelier Certificate.
Currently we are on a 80’ Sunreef sailing catamaran that we have recently prepared for a circumnavigation and major refit. Previously, we have spent the last several years running a luxury Charter Yachts in the US including Hawaii, the VIs and the Bahamas. Kev has extensive experience preparing yachts for new owners and training them to sail. We are very familiar with the US eastern coast and Caribbean islands, sailing together as well as sailing as captains independently. We’ve both also sailed on various yachts around the UK and eastern Europe, as well as in the Med and Pacific.
We have a proven track record in a broad range of customer care roles within the food, sailing and hospitality management industry. As a dynamic couple of over 20 years, we have expertise managing various exclusive 5* resorts, live-aboards, private and charter yachts and restaurants world-wide. We have worked together as a very successful and enthusiastic team both on and off the water.
We are both RYA YM captains and our initial Yachtmaster training was in the UK, where we lived and sailed for 15+ years. We are both UK citizens, I am also a US citizen and Kev has a US Green Card.
