Looking for Mile building, Friendship and happy to support Volunteer groups.

Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. Recently retired from full-time work I have restarted my life!
It was a shock discovering that my sailing miles are mostly ten years out of date!!! (thought it had been a long time since was regularly at sea!) So to re-acquaint myself with sailing and what goes on these days, and to check it still delivers the thrills and challenges I used to enjoy, I completed the RYA Day Skipper course in my old hunting ground, the North Sea between the Humber and the Dutch coast. All good there. Still has interesting and challenging weather!
I am now keen to build up sea Miles to enable me to progress my qualification and competence to take on and skipper longer voyages. Along the way I hope to find some Friendship, and am ready to do Voluntary work. I'm looking forward greatly to meeting some new people and to visiting some new places. Can consider most common sailing locations UK and elsewhere and without much constraint on duration.

Best teammate

5

Chris was a great teammate taking part in all chores on the boat He shared the meals, not taking into account his own diet. Went to the groceries to shop. He wouldn’t have dreamed of eating food he didn’t go to purchase and didn’t pay for it. He always followed the crew, abandoning his own whiches for the benefit of the crew. A great teammate whom I recommend
