Capt. Darragh Mc Carthy
I am 42 year old, RYA Yacht master offshore/ commercial endorsed captain. With over 17 years of experience as a captain. I have sailed over 100,000 miles, all across the world and furthermore single handed over 4,000 miles in the south Pacific. During my years as a captain, I have sailed very different vessels from 70ft catamarans to a 106 ft ketch. In recent years I've been skippering catamarans in luxury charters in the Mediterranean. I have also worked as a bare-boat instructor in Thailand and Mexico. I also bring excellent experience in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as fuel systems, rigging and so-forth.
I am an outgoing person with excellent social skills and great service orientation. I work hard and offer high professionalism and motivation.

A Passionate and Fun Sailor!
Met Darragh in Valletta to give him an extra hand on a delivery of a private owned Lagoon 50 to Lavrion in Greece. Although I am inexperienced, Darragh was willing to give me the opportunity to join his professional crew and showed me his confidence in my abilities. He was always ready to give me directions with clear instructions and at the same time giving me a thorough explanation whenever I needed attention. He is fun and very sociable. Really liked his open mindedness and always ready to start a deep interesting discussions over a couple of beers . I really enjoyed this unique experience from start to finish!
