Looking for a happy skipper/boat to crew on longer term, cruising the med
Recently retired, lots of time and flexibility. Sold my boat, a Columbia 29 some 5 years ago. Single handed her approx. 3000 nm on the east coast of Oz.
Looking for a cruising yacht to crew in warm waters longer term, fishing , snorkeling etc.
I'm a decent cook ... most times. Mechanic, Engineering background. Non-smoker, no drugs, like a drink but prefer to sail dry.
Two years ago I sailed the med for 4 weeks. 6 years ago, crewed from Bali around the west coast of Borneo to Kuching. Crewed on a number of boats in the Med, a 52ft Van de Stadt from the Canaries to Panama, a 60ft traditional Norwegian fishing boat with gaff rig from Panama to San Diego.
Skippered my own 29ft steel boat (with a 7.5 HP outboard) from Sydney to Bowen, NQL and back to Sydney some 35 years ago. Built half a 23ft yacht and did some local sailing in Perth. Based in Bunbury, Western Australia and keen to go cruising.
