Margo Riley
Fully trained artisan baker and bistro chef, with a background in mediterranean and middle eastern
cuisine, specialised in special dietries vegan/raw cuisine and gluten free. Over the last 15 years have
worked in all areas of catering from restaurants and cafes to festival fields and mobile trucks Im
adaptable to whatever kitchen, menu and larder I have to work with
I started sailing 6 years ago in England with my RYA introduction to sailing and competent crew
qualifications. I soon adapted my chefing background to life at sea and helped in
many galley kitchens while volunteering and training. In 2016 I made my first Atlantic crossing and since
then I have worked extensively on charters, crewing schooners and expedition ships from as far north as Svalbard in Norway to the San Blas islands in Panama.
When i accept an invitation to crew on someones yacht, im there to help, and be good company for however long the journey takes, its like accepting a lift from a stranger on a road to get somewhere, you want to be friendly, share stories and make the journey as comfortable as possible. Im not making a life commitment and im not checking a profile for a perfect fit, im just living my life, finding new adventures, sharing my skills, meeting new people and learn new things along the way.
