My philosophy...
I like to make the most of life, trying never to let an opportunity pass me by.
I am a train carpenter so have spend mmost of my working career in the building industry and have my own business building motorhomes. I have worked many different jobs over the years to keep it interesting, from education to culinary ect. Im the kind of person who can't stay settled for too long, not because im lazy but more the opposite, i dont like to stand still! You've got to keep moving or time will leave you behind. Why would you choose to stop learning when you could continue for your whole life!
I have wanted the ropes for a while as I can see myself spending some time living on a sailboat in the future. The freedom of travelling freely on the wind speaks volumes to me.
I have now done three small crossings on sailboats and am gaining experience and confidence surely..
I would love to come aboard and help out on your next voyage in return for your skills shared..
I am a loving and caring person, but at the same time don't put up with rubbish. I'm definitely hard working, always putting my all into whatever i am doing, im sure others would say the same about me too.. the only way to find out for sure is to put me to the test..
Look forward to meeting you ?
Fun and hard working
Archie joined me onboard for a short 'taster' in the southern Med in anticipation spending longer with me/us on a longer voyage later next year. Arrangements were interrupted by COVID but we eventually made it work. He is fun and free-spirited; full of energy and a pleasure to sail with. He absorbed information avidly and showed a real commitment to help out with all jobs onboard. Archie has an enquiring mind and was keen to explore ashore as well as afloat. He has plenty of adventurous spirit and is keen to make the most of every and any opportunity. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy and energetic crew. I look forward to sailing with him again as soon as circumstances permit.
