what now?
Flew here to Cape Verde, which is nice, but the captain ( my friend) has decided not to cross the atlantic afterall.
I am turning sixty in a day or two, but am strong and healthy.
Fitted and sailed my Bristol 24 16,000 nmi in 2014 & 15. Sold it and delivered to a couple in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
Have sailed solo, and with crew, but mostly as a captain, and my experience with larger, more complex boats is limited.
Long career as farmer and builder taught me good work habits. I have simple dietary requirements, am rough and ready and thrive in adversity. I am of good hygiene and use alcohol moderately, even compared to non sailors... I play guitar and sing and practice yoga everyday.
I m smart and like to learn, and love being out on the water. Be glad to talk about any opportunities with you.
