Hi - I've just joined Crewbay.
I'm interested in finding a position as a Competent Crew or first mate, Mile building and or Voluntary work.
I'm a former rock climbing & canyoning guide and coach. I'm still active and fit, but a little less active than before.
I've been living in Melbourne since November 2022 with my wife, the Executive Director of the Alliance Française de Melbourne.
We usually live in France, in the mountains around Grenoble, in the beautiful village of Lans-en-Vercors.
I've enjoyed cross-country skiing, climbing, boxing, and paragliding. I'm also a former diver and freediver, but I'm still a strong swimmer.
I obtained my RYA Costal Skyper in 2015, after crossing the North Atlantic from Saint-Martin to the Azores in 2012. Since then, I've sailed the Mediterranean, from Sardinia to the Balearic Islands, the Aegean Sea in summer, the Seychelles, and recently, from Malaysia to the Andaman Sea, via Thailand.
Over the years, I've learned to take my time and enjoy what each day offers me.
When I sail on a Skyper's ship, I listen attentively and appreciate the opportunities afforded me.
I am naturally discreet and respectful of everyone's space, in every sense of the word.
I aspire to be independent in managing a sailboat, and I work every day to earn the trust of the Skyper who hosts me, in all aspects of sailing.
