Hey sailors,
I’m a Dutch 33 year old happy go lucky kind of guy looking to crew on a sailing boat anywhere in Asia or Europe.
I’ve done an entry-level sailing course, hold an ICC + SRC, and want to get more hands-on experience. Altough I am more interested in something long term, I am open to shorter trips as well! In exchange for a spot on board, I’ll work hard and help out however I can, because I am very eager to learn and improve my skills. Apart from improving my deck skills, I am really looking forward to learn more about the engineering aspect as well.
What I Bring to the Crew:
ICC + basic sailing understanding
– Still learning but keen to improve
PADI Diving Instructor
– Can certify new or advanced divers and organise introduction dives (+ deep, wreck and nitrox instructor). Can help with underwater checks, hull cleaning, or just exploring great dive spots
Boat Experience
– Had a small inland boat in Amsterdam for years, with some maintenance & small outboard engine know-how & upkeep. This was my biggest hobby and I spent hunderds of hours on the Dutch backwaters.
Bachelor of Nursing
– Background in Psychiatric Nursing. Might come in handy in tough situations and medical problems.
Hospitality experience
- Started in bars during my teenage years and worked in hotels in Amsterdam during my university years
Musician (percussionist)
- Plays cajon and loves to jam with others
