Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a friendly crew heading to the Greater Antilles (preferably Jamaica) from February 25. I’m currently in Guatemala but can travel to meet you wherever you are (in Central America then).
In terms of experience, I’ve done several sailing classes when I was younger (on small catamarans) and spent a week sailing in Panama last month (<100 NM, 3 of us on a Jeanneau Folie Douce). During that time, I (re)learned the basics, steered a lot (since the boat had no autopilot), and took part in maneuvers. So yes, I’m a beginner sailor, but I have an unconditional love for the sea and a strong desire to learn more about sailing. Of course, I will be happy to help with all aspects of life on board—maneuvers, steering, watch shifts, cleaning, cooking, music, singing, etc. I’ll also gladly contribute to the shared expenses.

My name is Valentin, I’m a 27-year-old French-Spanish traveler, exploring Latin America for the past 10 months. My goal is to reach Martinique by May and then cross the Atlantic back to Europe. I’m passionate about the environment, water sports, music, and cooking (I’m working on a pan-fried bread recipe—you’ll have to try it!). I speak fluent French, Spanish, and English. I’m a good listener, optimistic, and adaptable (for example, I recently worked as a head chef in a hotel for a month, even though I had no prior experience in the restaurant industry). People say I’m easygoing, fit well into communal living, and I’d like to think I’m pretty resourceful.
