Looking for a Competent Crew, Mile building or Voluntary work position
Hi,
My name is David, I’m a 27 year old from Scotland looking for a sailing adventure. I’m available from April to October 2025, looking to join a crew for a month or two and go on an adventure. Ideally I’d be looking to join a crew around South East Asia or Australia/New Zealand, as I’m hoping to do some travelling on that side of the world.
I have my RYA day skipper and VHF radio licence, and have spent many weeks sailing around the coast of Scotland. I’m looking to build up my miles/experience so that I can get my yachtmaster in the future. I am more than happy to cover my costs for the upkeep of the boat and living costs.
Outside of sailing I’m a design engineer with a good understanding of mechanics and DIY, so I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m also a good cook, a hard worker, and very sociable so I can get on with everyone. In terms of hobbies I’m a keen surfer, and enjoy most sports, as well as music and a bit of drawing.
I would be grateful for any advice, sailing recommendations, or opportunities.
