Capable Crewmember for Deliveries and other Voyages
Continually building my sailing expertise and want to pivot this into a full-time career in the near future. I belong to a sailing club in the Chesapeake Bay/DC region but recently moved to Puerto Rico and am thrilled to be next to the ocean every day. Desiring to join Captains and vessels for deliveries or potentially recreational voyages--pending location, circumstance, and time--predominately in the Carribean and U.S. East Coast but could be open to an Atlantic crossing.
I'm dependable, a great communicator, highly educated, a fast leaner, and physically capable. Until recently, I worked in international relations and finance. Actively licensed bartender and have worked most positions in the restaurant industry too. Adept/active snorkeler and very proficient underwater; becoming ever more proficient on top of it.
ASA 101 and 103 Certified, I know COLREGS and general safety well, and can navigate. Plan to take ASA 104, 105, and 114 in the coming months. Sailed roughly 300-400 miles this year. I'm also a sailing instructor-in-training for the U.S. Naval Academy.
