Hello my name's Tanya !!!
I am a dynamic and hard-working individual with a diverse background that makes me an excellent candidate for a deckhand position. I am 26 years old and have spent the past four years as a paramedic, where I developed strong problem-solving skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and a deep sense of teamwork and responsibility.
Currently, I work as a practical training technician at Cégep de Sherbrooke, where I train and mentor the next generation of paramedics. This role has allowed me to refine my teaching, communication, and leadership skills, as well as my ability to adapt to the needs of different individuals and environments.
Beyond my professional life, I am passionate about traveling, yoga, and exploring new cultures, which align perfectly with the international nature of the yachting industry.
I bring a unique combination of skills and certifications to the role of deckhand. I hold PDSD, ENG1, B1/B2 visa, and Schengen certifications, and I have recently completed the STCW and Powerboat Level 2 training. This demonstrates my readiness to work safely and efficiently in the yachting environment.
My paramedic background has given me exceptional situational awareness, physical endurance, and attention to detail—qualities that are crucial for a deckhand. I am no stranger to hard work, whether it’s maintaining equipment, assisting with navigation, or ensuring the safety of crew and passengers.
Additionally, my teaching experience has made me an excellent communicator and a reliable team player. I am confident in following instructions, assisting others, and adapting to the dynamic needs of a yacht’s operations.
Finally, my passion for learning and dedication to excellence means I am always eager to expand my skill set and contribute to a positive crew dynamic. With my background, certifications, and enthusiasm, I am ready to bring my dedication and professionalism to your team.
