Canadian couple available to help with boat deliveries in Canada
Canadian copule looking for opportunities as help with boat deliveries in Canada.
Our Availability:
We are based in Toronto and we are available to assist with boat deliveries of short duration. We were recently sailing in the Caribbean and just got back from helping move a 42 ft sailboat from St Martin to the Azores (2300 nautical miles) in March. We also assisted moving a boat from Belize to Honduras (200 nautical miles) in February 2025.
A Little About Us:
Jean-Sébastien (J-S): J-S has over 3000 miles and 5 years of sailing experience on keelboats (24-50ft), holds Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising and ICC certifications, and has participated in several week-long sailing trips, including skippering a few.
Ana (myself): I have over 2,700 nautical miles and a year of sailing experience. I have completed Sail Canada Basic Coastal Cruising, VHF Radio Operator, and Basic Coastal Navigation certifications. I'm a fast learner, eager to expand my skills, and have a passion for travel and cultural exploration.
We are both members of the Humber Bay Sailing Center, a boat-sharing club in Toronto, actively participate in boat maintenance, and attend seminars. We have completed a Diesel Engine Maintenance course, we are PADI Rescue Divers, and hold up-to-date First Aid/CPR certifications.
We are non-smokers, prefer vegetarian meals (but are flexible), and we are enthusiastic about contributing to all aspects of sailing life—navigation, passage planning, watch-keeping, deck duties, and more.
We value teamwork, safetly, sustainability, and adventure and we both have a hands-on mindset.
We would be delighted to learn more about any available opportunities. Please let us know if you have any boat delivery needs or if you have space on an upcoming leg. We will be happy to schedule a call to discuss further.
Top-Notch Crew!
I had the pleasure of sailing with Ana and J-S aboard my Lillian V sailing boat (42-foot catamaran) as we made the journey from Belize to Honduras, including an overnight passage, covering a total of 200 nautical miles. Both Ana and J-S are incredibly hands-on and proactive, tackling any challenges that came our way. One of the highlights of our trip was when we ran into engine trouble; they jumped right in and helped with troubleshooting, displaying knowledge and problem-solving skills. Their ability to work efficiently and as a team was essential during that time. In addition to their strong seamanship skills, they are both incredibly hardworking and contributed to every aspect of the voyage, from navigation to sail handling and everything in between. They kept the boat organized and well-maintained, always ensuring everything was in its proper place, which contributed to a smooth and safe journey. They also prepared delicious vegetarian meals that were both nutritious and tasty, keeping the crew well-fed and energized for the long passage. I would highly recommend Ana and J-S to anyone looking for dependable, capable, and safety-oriented crew members. They bring energy, expertise, and a strong work ethic to the table, and I would happily sail with them again any day!
