Looking for a Voluntary work or Novice Crew position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Voluntary work or Novice Crew.
I am a tour-cyclist, rock climber and generally frequent traveler from the Netherlands. I have been an active sailing instructor for children on small sailing boats for the last 8 years. And joined in a students sailing competition on classic sailing ships. Racing from the Netherlands to England and back. The best thing about this race was sailing at night and only seeing stars and open water. i recently spent a week on a 100 year old schoner, sailing from Germany to vigo. Here I got used to a watch system, overcame my first seasickness and got used to the general life on board.
I have always loved sailing and teaching, and would love to broaden my experiences further on the ocean. And am looking to do the Atlantic crossing this winter, and in the end go to Mexico to hike from there to Canada.
I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
