Experienced Deckhand, Shipwright & Cook Seeking Sailing Opportunities
Over the past four months, I’ve worked with Sydney Tall Ships as a shipwright and deckhand, gaining hands-on experience in timber ship repairs, maintenance, deck operations, galley work, and all-around vessel duties. I’m a hardworking, adaptable, and quick learner, always looking to expand my skills and experience at sea.
I’m now searching for my next opportunity to build offshore miles and further my sailing career. Currently based in Brisbane, I’m available immediately for paid work and also open to delivery trips or day sailing anywhere in Queensland. With a new passport, I’m ready to travel internationally.
What I Bring to the Crew:
✔ Strong practical skills – Experienced in carpentry, metalwork, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance
✔ Excellent cook – Capable of handling galley duties and meal prep for crew
✔ Hardworking & adaptable – Willing to take on any role and eager to learn
✔ Easygoing, respectful, and a team player – Get along well with all crew members
✔ Passionate about the ocean – Love sailing, water sports, and all things maritime
Future Goals & Certifications:
? Planning to complete STCW certification
? Looking to gain mechanical, electrical, and chef/cook qualifications
? Working towards becoming a highly skilled deckhand and eventually a skipper
