Looking for a Voluntary work, Novice Crew, Medical Staff or Nanny position
Hello, We are a young couple (Séléna and Rémi) with hearts full of dreams. Passionate about climbing and adventure, we had a somewhat crazy idea: "Climb the most beautiful cliffs in the United States by sailing across the Atlantic."
Sailing instead of flying because we both dream of crossing the ocean by sailboat, because we are concerned about our ecological footprint, and because flying is not an adventure. We are both novices at sea, but our thirst for adventure and learning is more than present. We are looking for a boat willing to share the Atlantic crossing with us.
We are looking to embark starting from January 1, 2025, and we are ready to move around Europe to find a departure. We are open to various arrival destinations (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Brazil, etc.), and we will complete our journey by van (or plane as a last resort) or other means of transportation to reach the United States.
We will of course contribute to the on-board expenses, and we will perform all necessary tasks during the crossing (watch duty, cleaning, cooking, maintenance, etc.), and if needed, we can provide an additional contribution.
+ Séléna: A nurse and midwife by profession, my experience as a caregiver has endowed me with great empathy, essential for community life. Often working night shifts, watch duty will be no problem for me. As a passionate mountaineer, I am used to harsh living conditions and always ready to take on new challenges. I possess great adaptability and a strong ability to live with the bare minimum. Used to dealing with unexpected situations, I am a reliable travel partner, ready to embark on a new adventure.
+ Rémi: I am a calm and friendly person. Freshly graduated from a carpentry training program, I have always loved working with wood and tinkering more generally. I love learning and working with my hands; I am very handy. I also enjoy cooking and will try to prepare delicious meals throughout the crossing and brighten up the longer times with games on the boat.
