Bay of Biscay Crossing 2025

We offer a number of different offshore Mile Building trips for those who want to take their sailing to the next level or build miles towards qualifications. Mile builders are the best way to develop your skills in the most cost-effective way. Our European Mile Builders take you away from the coast of the UK and offer blue water sailing experiences. Those who join our trips tell us they leave feeling more confident to skipper longer more adventurous passages.

The Bay of Biscay Crossing, often referred to simply as the “Biscay Crossing,” is a renowned maritime journey that spans the vast expanse of the Bay of Biscay in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. Stretching between the western coast of France and the northern coast of Spain, the Bay of Biscay Crossing has long been a vital route for shipping, trade, and exploration. Its waters have witnessed countless maritime adventures, from ancient seafaring expeditions to modern-day cargo shipments and naval operations

We ensure there is always a professional instructor onboard to answer questions and give guidance.

Please bear in mind that our schedule is subject to change if bad weather forces us to delay departures, pull in to wait out a storm, we have to make any last-minute changes due to any unforeseen circumstances.

This is a Yachtmaster Ocean qualifying passage IF no stops are made due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances. Should a stop be necessary for whatever reason, it would no qualify.

The boat was well taken care of, had enough safety gear. Neil -the skipper- was awesome, I learned a lot. Recommended.
